Summer is the perfect time to have long hair. Yes, okay, it might get a little warm under it. But now is the perfect time to show off all the different hairstyles we can do with our hair length.

1. Braided Headband Updo

This cute braided updo is perfect to put up your hair when it gets hot in summer. And it looks much more complicated than it actually is, making it a perfect last-minute bridesmaid hairstyle.

But be warned: you’ll need a lot of bobby pins for this!

2. The easiest way to do a headband braid

Headband braids are a perfect summer hairstyle for me. It makes it easy to show off your beach waves and still keeps the hair off your face.

Plus, if you do it like Jess in the video, it is only a matter of minutes!

All you need is a clear hair elastic, a comb and a few bobby pins.

3. Summery half up-half down hairstyle

This half up-half down hairstyle works on every hair type, even my long curly (and sometimes frizzy!) hair.

It lets you show off your length, keeps the strands out of your face and looks much more complicated than it is.

4. Quick and Beachy Bandana Hairstyle

If you’re like me and you love to spend a lot of your summer at the seaside, bandanas are your best friends!

5. The scarf braid

Speaking of bandanas: scarves are an amazing way, too, to spice up your summer hairstyles. Especially with long hair, you can achieve pretty original looks.

A nice example of this is the 3-minute scarf braid in the video below. All you need is a scarf of choice, some French braiding skills and a few minutes!

6. Boho chandelier braid

Boho braids are probably the most popular summer hairstyle for long hair. They show off your length, your braiding skills, and give off that free-spirited vibe of long summer evenings.

As you might expect, you’ll need to plan a little more time to complete all the braiding. Especially if braiding close to your scalp is challenging for you. (Please tell me I’m not the only one!)

But the end result is really worth it!
