Woodland creature hairstyle (last minute option)

Let’s start with the quick and easy Halloween hairstyles first. After all, if you’re looking for last minute Halloween hairstyles for long hair, you’re probably in a hurry.

This cute deer look makes a really good impression, but you can pull it off pretty quickly. Check out the video for the step by step!

Quick & easy Halloween hairstyle for long hair

Count on Kayley Melissa to show up with a gorgeous looking hairstyle that doesn’t even need any styling tools. (She’s the best, isn’t she?!)

So if you’re in a pickle, looking for a really quick and easy Halloween hairstyle, you can’t go wrong with this one.

You will need a headband though. If you still have time, you can easily buy a fitting one here!*

Ghost pontytail

If you’re looking for something a little more playful, this ghost ponytail might just be for you. (And let’s be honest, we all love cute Halloween hairstyles!)

This will work better on straight hair than on curly locks. (For specifically curly Halloween hairstyles check below!) You will need to consider how to make sure everything stays put, too.

But if you can pull this one off, you’ll probably have one of the most original hairstyles among the people at your Halloween party!

Greek Goddess Halloween Hairstyle

Goddesses seem to mostly sport long hair, don’t they? Well, here we’ll be portraying a Greek one.

You can do this style without the headpiece, too. But if you have the time, I’d strongly suggest to add one. It just let’s your inner Goddess shine, you know?

You can find some really gorgeous ones here!*

Zipper hairstyle

Now, if you hate braiding, this amazing Halloween hairstyle idea is NOT for you. You do need to be able to dutch braid. (Alex also explains it in her video.)

But if you can, and you have the time to work your way through this, I think it’s a really great idea. You could do it with the zipper, or go wild with creativity when it comes what you put in between the braids.

If you’re inspired by Halloween, I’m sure you can think of a lot of things!

Cat or fox hairstyle

Another cute little animal Halloween hairstyle: braided cat ears. Again, if you really hate braiding with a passion, you might wanna skip this one. Not only do you have to French braid, you’ll also do it overhead…

However, if that doesn’t bother you, you’re in for a really cute look!

And, if you have long hair you can skip the teasing. I’d recommend that anyways, because it definitely leads to hair damage. But also, you’ll have easily enough volume to create the ears without teasing your hair.

Princess hairstyle for Halloween

Looking to create a princess look for Halloween? Kayley has the perfect tutorial for that!

This cinderella undo is much easier than it looks. You’ll just need the right accessories.

Once you’ve collected all your items, it won’t take you long to recreate this cute Halloween hairstyle.

Easy Halloween look: Hair horns

Okay, after all these accessorised Halloween hairstyles, let’s go back to something really simple. All you need for these fun horns are some bobby pins and long hair!

Keep in mind that, if your hair is significantly longer than hers, you might struggle with stability of this hairstyle. In that case, use smaller parts and several bobby pins to make it work!

For me, this is one of the best Halloween hair ideas in terms of last minute “doability”. Quick, easy, nothing special needed, and clearly looks “Halloweenish”.

If you want spooky hairstyles without spending hours – this one works!

Amazing Halloween hairstyle for curly hair

Alright, if you know me, you know I’m a fan of the curly girl method. And that includes not disturbing your curl pattern with heat styling et cetera.

Still, many many Halloween hairstyles are made for straight hair. So imagine how happy I was to find this amazing Halloween hairstyle! Here your curly hair isn’t in your way – it’s necessary!

Pin up curly hairstyle for halloween

Aaaand, I’ve found another curly Halloween hairstyle!

Do you love a 50’s look? Rimi shows us how to create a cute pin up style.

You’ll need a good hair gel and a bandana for this one. (You can find my absolute favorite curly girl approved hair gel here or make your own with this DIY hair gel recipe!)

Halloween witch hairstyles for long hair

Being a witch for Halloween is probably the most common costume for females, isn’t it? But what to do with your long hair for this one?

Well, in my opinion, a witch kinda needs a hat. So let’s look at two witch hairstyles with hat!

Option 1: Side braid & hat

I love a side braid! It’s super flattering on anyone, works with any hair type, and complements your witch hair perfectly!

If side braid and hat alone are not spooky enough for you, you could decorate the braid with some Halloween hair accessories or spray paint it a witchy color!

Option 2: Hat made out of hair

If you a) got lots of time and patience and b) don’t plan on moving much this Halloween, you could give this hair made out of hair a try.

I looove the way it looks, it’s really creative and fun, but I’m not sure how practical it is. So an amazing option for your Halloween pictures, not so much for a whole lot of trick or treatin’.

Let it flow!

Last but not least, we have to talk about this really simple option among the Halloween hair ideas.

If you accessorise with the right head gear, letting your hair flow freely is still an amazing Halloween hairstyle for long hair. Any witch or mythical creature looks more realistic with long, flowing locks!

And, if you found this list helpful, I’d really appreciate if you could share it with other people. Thank you and enjoy your Halloween!
