Be honest, how many hours have you spent watching videos recently? Too many? Not necessarily. If you make sure to learn something from your watch time, who’s to say that time is wasted?

I’ve learned a lot from skincare youtubers, so I want to share some channels that taught me new things repeatedly.

Are they THE best skincare channels on youtube? Well, that’s for you to decide! Happy watching!

1. Dr. Alexis Stephens

I’ll be honest, I’d never heard of Dr. Alexis Stephens before her reaction to Jada Pinkett Smith’s skincare routine. But watching that video, it became quickly apparent that this doctor is both super knowledgable AND hilarious!

Simply by Jada mentioning a few skin concern of hers, the doctor recognised a possible skin condition I’ve never even heard of. But from the way it sounds, I think a lot of people have it without realising. Really interesting stuff.

She is a board-certified dermatologist, so you can trust in her knowing her facts – and sharing them in an absolutely entertaining way. Both of these things make her one of the top skincare youtubers!

2. Hyram

Hyram gave me lots of inspiration for my own skincare routine. I really like his philosophy of fragrance-free, affordable, and environmentally friendly skin care products. He also genuinely comes across as a kind and honest person.

However, there seems to have been a recent controversy around his own skin care line. Apparently it did not fit the requirements he himself has for other brands and their products. I haven’t checked it out, so make of that what you will. I won’t be buying his products as I’m all set with my routine anyway.

In general, I definitely think his content is really helpful for skin care beginners and enthusiasts alike. He reviews lots of products and also checks the company and their attitude towards environmental issues.

Both the pure amount of content and his transparent way of reviewing make his one of the best skincare YouTube channels to date!

3. Dr. Dray

Dr. Dray is another dermatologist on YouTube, with a refreshing no BS attitude when it comes to reviewing products and debunking common skincare myths. If you’re looking for the best dermatologist youtubers you can’t get past her.

She has videos on common skin issues as well as lesser-known ones alike. (Hidradenitis suppurativa, anyone ever heard of that?) I really like how she takes the time to explain things “the doctor way”. Honestly, it can feel like having been to the dermatologist – just without the waiting time.

Unlike some other skincare influencers, she will also definitely tell you if a product is overpriced yet not effective. Good stuff!

Definitely one of the best skin care influencers on YouTube!

4. Mixed Makeup

Susan Yara is the face of the Mixed Makeup channel, and I’m almost certain you’ve seen her before. She has a media background, and you can tell by her being one of the most famous skincare youtubers and by the quality of her videos. They are fun, and informative in an entertaining way.

Like Hyram she is not a trained dermatologist and simply turned her passion for skincare and makeup into her career. It’s a different approach than that of the trained professionals, and you’ll see lots of reactions, opinions and snarky comments. I love it!

(Oh, and she’s also one of the skincare youtubers with dry skin – important info if you have the same and want fitting recommendations!)

5. Cassandra Bankson

Cassandra Bankson is a medical esthetician with a long history of dealing with acne herself. This, and her energetic personality, make her stand out in the sea of skincare youtubers and put her on this list of best skin care YouTube channels.

I’ll be honest, some days her videos are a little too energetic for me. But her content definitely delivers and she’ll crack you up regularly!

6. James Welsh

James Welsh is another one of skincare influencers without a medical degree in skincare. But he definitely makes up for that in dry humor and (often hilariously) blatant honesty.

His channel is great for staying up to date on recent trends while at the same time cutting through the BS and having a laugh thanks to his deadpan delivery.
